Driver fails to yield while pulling out of Tops causing another car to flip

A car flipped over Wednesday evening after hitting another driver pulling out of a Tops market.

City of Tonawanda Police say Katherine Alexander, 46, clipped Gina Giomundo's car as Giomundo was pulling out of Tops on Young Street.

Officers say this caused Alexander's car to hit a boulder and flip onto its roof.

Two passengers in Alexander's car said they had some neck pain as a result of the crash, but did not want treatment, according to officials.

Police say Giomundo did not suffer any injuries and was issued a summons for failure to yield.
