District Attorney John Flynn says no charges will be filed against former Buffalo Sabres player Andrew Peters for his involvement in a youth hockey fight.

A video posted on YouTube over the weekend appears to show Peters, who now coaches the Buffalo Jr. Sabres 15U team, shoving a player as some of his players on the team got into a fight near the bench.

"We have reviewed the case and have spoken to the parents of the young man involved in the incident," said DA Flynn. "They tell us they don't want to pursue criminal charges against Peters. As a result, our office won't be taking any further legal action at this time."

Peters was suspended from coaching the team after the game.

On his radio show Monday, Peters said fighting in youth sports is "unacceptable" and that he did not do a good job communicating with his team.
