Western New Yorkers can "Dine Out For Life" Tuesday and help raise money for Evergreen Health and HIV/AIDS-fighting resources in our area.

Participating restaurants agree to donate at least 25 percent of their food proceeds on October 9, 2018 to Dining Out For Life.

There are more than 85 restaurants participating here in Western New York, some of them, contributing 100 percent of their revenue.

Rideshare company Lyft is offering diners a 20 percent discount off rides ($10 per ride two rides per person maximum) that originate or end in the greater Buffalo area on October 9 between 5:00 p.m. and midnight when they enter the DINEOUTWNY code in the Lyft app.

Dining Out For Life is a national, annual fundraising event that takes place in 60 cities across the country. Each year, 3,000 restaurants raise more than $4 million for HIV/AIDS service organizations. Most of the money raised stays in the communities where it is raised. Since the event's inception here in Western New York, it has raised more than $1.2 million.
