Digging out with more snow on the way

The winter of 2017 has been a relatively easy one for plow drivers in western New York. Jason Kochan of Jays Landscaping, knows that first hand. He says, the less snow, means more money, thanks to agreed upon contracts.

Less snow, the better for us. Less times we have to go out, less hours on the guys, less hours on the trucks, said Kochan.

The less snow the better is not a unique take on this most recent storm, especially when you need to keep digging out the driveway.

It just keeps coming. So, you have to do at every couple of hours. It's probably going to be a couple more times today, too, said Dan Mulhern as he cleared his driveway with a snow blower.

Some were surprised that businesses and schools were closed, the storm itself, fooled no one.

March always has a tendency to throw one in before spring sets in, said Amire Bardwin while he shoveled in Buffalo.

A significant snowfall, but a manageable snowfall. And with the snow still falling, many already have a snow day lined up for Wednesday.
