Deputies: Woman hid drugs in private part to smuggle into jail

The Erie County Sheriff's Office announced today the result of a several month long investigation of a "prison contraband smuggling operation."

Four inmates and one civilian were arrested and charged with conspiracy, contraband, and drug counts.

On October 10th around 9:45 p.m., officers executed a search warrant on 24-year-old Tianna Hunter, while she was visiting the jail.

During the search, deputies removed a ballon of marijuana from Hunter's vagina. 

She was then arrested and charged with introducing contraband into a prison, conspiracy and criminal sale of marijuana, as well as possession.

Hunter is currently being held in the Erie County Holding Center on $5,000 bail.

The four inmates involved were: 

  • Melvin Williams, 20 of Buffalo
  • Demetrise Oaks, 36 of Buffalo 
  • Indaleccio Rodriguez, 27 of Buffalo
  • Dijon Brown, 24 of Buffalo
