Erie County Deputies found 77 methadone pills early Sunday morning after stopping a driver due to complaints of erratic driving.
The deputy says the driver committed vehicle and traffic violations on route 438 in the Town of Collins, prompting a traffic stop.
According to Deputy Francis, there was a marijuana odor and the driver showed signs of impairment.
Kenneth Grainer, 22, passed the field sobriety test but admitted to having marijuana, according to officials.
Authorities say the marijuana and 77 methadone hydrochloride pills in a candy container were found during a search.
Grainer and his passenger, Kenneth Farnham, 22, were arrested and charged with criminal possession of methadone, a felony count, and possession of marijuana, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Deputies say the two men are being held at the Erie County Holding Center on $5000 bail.
