Deputies arrest man who stabbed family member in neck

PENDLETON, N.Y. (WKBW) - Niagara County Sheriff's Office announces the arrest of a man who stabbed one of his family members in the neck. 

Cory Ochtereski did so while riding in a vehicle on Tonawanda Creek Road in the Town of Pendleton. 

Deputies say once the victim stopped the vehicle, Ochtereski ran off. He was located by Amherst Police later on Schoelles Drive after a complaint of a suspicious male.

The victim was able to drive himself to Degraff Memorial Hospital for treatment. An ambulance then transferred him to ECMC. 

Ochtereski is facing a charge of Assault in the 1st degree. His arraignment was in Town of Pendleton Court. His set to appear back in court on January 19.
