Erie County Sheriff's Deputies arrested three adults accused of going to buy illegal drugs with a 5-year-old in the car.

Deputies stopped a vehicle on Genesee Road Friday morning for vehicle and traffic violations. Deputies say there were three adults and one child in the car. After deputies recognized one of the adults, a narcotics detection K9 team was called to help.

Deputies say they traced a small package of heroin inside the vehicle. The three adults, Dana Lichy, Tracy Griffin and Richard Farnham were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Investigators later discovered more heroin, prescription drugs, crack cocaine, a crack pipe and needles.

All three adults admitted to deputies to having Griffin's 5-year-old daughter in the vehicle when they purchased narcotics in the City of Buffalo.

CPS and Deputies worked together to make arrangements for a relative to take temporary custody of the child.
