Demolition of the historic Chautauqua Amphitheater is now back on track.
The New York State Supreme Court on Friday dismissed the case to preserve the existing structure in its entirety. The Institution issued a statement saying, in part:
"With this matter now behind us, we look forward to completing this project and delivering a state-of-the-art renewed Amphitheater that will carry on the facility's legacy as the heart and soul of our Institution for generations to come."
The board has approved a $41 million renewal project for the amphitheater. Construction is scheduled to begin in soon.
