Delivering care, companionship and meals...on wheels

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) - Meals on Wheels WNY is the second largest Meals on Wheels chapter in the nation!

It was founded in 1969 and now serves nearly a million meals along more than 200 service routes in Western New York.

Volunteers prepare and deliver meals to homebound seniors and disabled individuals. They provide more than just meals though, volunteers bring a sense of caring and companionship. More than 5,000 meals are prepared daily at the commissary in Buffalo. 1,800 to 2,000 of those are delivered directly to homes and the other meals are served in group settings at different centers.

Meals on Wheels of WNY accepts volunteers for all time commitments, as little as an hour or two a month to as much as you're willing to contribute! If you can't provide your time, monetary donations are always accepted.
