LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WKBW) - DeFlippo's, a landmark family-run restaurant in Lockport, has apparently closed its doors for good in the city it has called home since 1946.
A message on the restaurant's Facebook page says the West Avenue eatery will be closed until further notice.
"We are looking to relocate out of the city of Lockport," the post said. "We will however still do private party's and catering at this location until the end of August. Thank you for all the wonderful years in the west end!"
The Italian restaurant - known for its homemade pasta and warm, friendly staff - is owned by a third generation of the DeFlippo family. It is the second longtime restaurant to close in Lockport in recent weeks. Garlock's Restaurant suddenly shut its doors last month after 72 years in service. It opened the same year as DeFlippo's.
