More than 150 volunteers with B Team Buffalo are gathering Saturday to decorate the Broadway-Fillmore neighborhood for Christmas.
Volunteers are working to decorate 40 homes and three community centers near the Central Terminal to bring holiday cheer to the area. Many of the families in the neighborhood are immigrants preparing for their first holiday in Buffalo.
The decorating will be followed by a tree lighting ceremony and caroling outside the Hope Center at 12:30 p.m..
There will also be a children's carnival with Santa inside the Hope Center from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and a community dinner from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
