Niagara Falls Detectives found a body covered up by brush and debris with multiple stab wounds Tuesday afternoon.
Detectives received information about the body in the overgrown brush behind Cataract Steel on Mackenna Avenue at 3:00 p.m.
Crime Scene Detectives recovered the body which was sent to Erie County Medical Center. An autopsy Wednesday morning showed the victim died from multiple stab wounds.
Officials say the body had been there for some time, making it difficult to visually identify the victim. Fingerprints were also unobtainable due to decay, so dental records and DNA will be used.
According to authorities, several people have been interviewed, including a person of interest.
The investigation is still underway.
