On September 7th, deputies were dispatched to a home on Wyoming Road, Town of Covington for an unresponsive adult male subject.

Once on the scene,  officers found one man who died from an apparent drug overdose and another adult male, Donald Reinhart who suffered from an apparent drug overdose.

Reinhart was immediately transported to the Wyoming County Community Hospital for treatment.

Four children, ages 5-years to 16-years, were at home at the time of the overdose.  All four have been removed from the home.

Since then, Donald Reinhart and his wife Amanda were arrested and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child (4 counts) and Criminal Nuisance.

An active investigation is continuing by the New York State Police and the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office into the three drug overdoses and the composition of the illegal drug they all consumed.

The New York State Police called in  the Wyoming County Child Protective Services, Animal Control and Building and Codes to also help out with his case.
