Daemen College hosts first-ever Active Shooter Drill as a safety precaution

Daemen College hosted their first-ever Active Shooter Drill to test campus-wide strategies, preparation and coordination should an emergency present itself at any given time. 

The Emergency Response Team and Office of Campus Security worked closely with several agencies of local law enforcement to play-out the unique scenario, closing off portions of the campus to do so.

Greg Nayor, Vice President of Student Affairs, says while they have routine drills all the time, this is the first planned drill of this magnitude that required months of planning and partnership.
