Governer Cuomo has announced new efforts to combat maternal depression and prevent maternal mortality across the state.
Cuomo will now require all health insurance policies to include coverage for maternal depression screening, and will launch a new Maternal Mortality Review Board.
The announcement comes as New York is ranked 30th in the nation for maternal mortality rates.
