A fire broke out at the Scottish Inns on Sheridan Drive around 3 p.m. Thursday.

Sheridan Park Fire Company officials say the fire was contained to one room on the first floor and was put out very quickly.

A fire official tells 7 Eyewitness News that the room was rented out, but it was not occupied at the time. There were no injuries reported.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Erie County Sheriff's Department.

The Red Cross is now assisting 17 adults and one child. The estimated damage is $25,000 to the structure and $15,000 to contents.
