The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles is teaming up with the Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation to limit underage drinking at Canalside.

The DMV says four arrests were made during the latest round of Operation Prevent Sweeps. The sweeps are designed to deter underage drinking and keep New York's roadways safe.

Officials say Thursday, the DMV's Division of Field Investigation worked with the Buffalo Police Department to conduct a sweep at Canalside at the "Lowest of the Low" free concert. During that sweep, four fake IDs were confiscated.

Governor Andrew Cuomo announced in June that the state would continue to operate sweeps during the summer concert season to ensure that the public remains safe and well-protected.
