A suspicious vehicle in an Erie County park led to the arrest of a couple on drug charges.
The sheriff's office says a park ranger alerted deputies about a car parked near a concert shelter at Emery Park Friday night. Inside the vehicle was Richard Wagner, 29 of East Aurora and Kelly Janicki, 54 of Marilla.
Deputies say Wagner admitted to having sex and smoking marijuana inside the car. While searching the vehicle, deputies found marijuana, cocaine and a cap with heroin residue.
Investigators say deputies also found two hypodermic needles and nine methadone pills in Janicki's purse.
Wagner and Janiki are charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and four other violations.
They were later released and are due in court at a later date.
