Wyoming County reports first case of COVID-19

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Wyoming County Health Department has confirmed its first case of COVID-19.

Health officials are not releasing any information about the individual, but say they are working to identify everyone who has had close contacts with the person. As people who had contact with the individual are identified, they are being placed in mandatory quarantine to monitor for symptoms.

As of Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m., there are 14 confirmed coronavirus cases in Western New York - 11 in Erie County and two in Allegany County in addition to the confirmed case in Wyoming County.
