BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — A tiger at the Bronx Zoo has tested positive for COVID-19.
Researchers think she caught it from a human zookeeper, and they say people infected should stay away from their pets while in isolation.
The zoo has been closed since mid-March, but zoo keepers have been tending to the animals.
It turns out one of the caretakers had the virus.
Several tigers and lions are now showing signs of a respiratory illness.
It's an indication that humans can give COVID-19 to animals.
