The South & Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer Districts is reminding the public not to dispose disinfectant, baby, or sanitary wipes down the drain.

"These materials are not designed to readily breakdown and are damaging to our municipal wastewater systems and private septic systems," the statement says. "Although packaging may suggest that the product is flushable, they are not to be flushed."

The South & Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer Districts is encourage the public to comply in this matter to prevent overflows and damages to all municipal and county wastewater systems.
