BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Susan G. Komen Upstate New York announced Thursday it has rescheduled its annual Western New York "More than Pink" Walk amid concerns around COVID-19.

The walk was originally scheduled for June 13th at Buffalo RiverWorks, it has been rescheduled to September 5th and will remain at RiverWorks.

“The decision to reschedule to fall was not made lightly,” said Andrea Moran, Executive Director for Komen Upstate New York. “The health and wellness of those we serve is always our top priority. We know several of the walkers that join us that day are going through or have just finished treatment for breast cancer. Many have compromised immune systems and are at a higher risk of health concerns.”

The 2020 walk was scheduled to be the 20th anniversary of the annual event.
