Niagara County Department of Social Services offering childcare assistance to essential workers

NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. (WKBW) — In a statement, the Niagara County Department of Social Services said they are working to find open childcare slots for employees listed as "essential workers."

“We understand the stress essential employees like first responders and health care workers are under," acting Social Services Commissioner Meghan Lutz said in a statement. "As they cannot stay home during this trying time, yet their children are home.

The statement also says the Community Child Care Clearinghouse of Niagara is also prepared to offer assistance. If you are a essential worker and need help finding childcare in your area, please call the Clearinghouse at 285-8572, x109 or x105.
