ALBANY, N.Y. (WKBW) — The New York State Legislature will be holding its second hearing on the impact of COVID-19, specifically on residential facilities on Monday.

More than 6,000 people died from COVID-19 complications in a nursing home in New York State.

Many have called out New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo for the state's handling of the virus in nursing homes.

These hearings look at ways to reduce transmission of COVID-19, and improve the experiences of patients and families.

The hearing will take place virtually 10 a.m.
