BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — Buffalo now has new safety net during this COVID-19 outbreak.
It's called the good neighbor network.
Police and volunteers are distributing door hangers to 150,000 homes across Buffalo.
The door hangers include information on how to get help if needed.
The other side is pink and says "I need a good neighbor".
When people display that side, it will alert police that the resident is in need of help.
Mayor Byron Brown says this network was created after hundreds of people offered to volunteer to help those in need.
Volunteers will be distributing signs through Monday.
