ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Monroe County Department of Parks announced Wednesday that golf carts will now be made available for people living with disabilities at the county’s courses.
The county reopened its courses last month.
COVID-19 restrictions and operational changes put in place at that time are still in effect, but people with disabilities who require a golf cart will now be able to rent one. To reserve a cart, the person must show proof of need with a handicap parking permit, handicap license plate or a doctor’s note.
Carts will be made available beginning tomorrow, May 14. The carts will be washed and sanitized after each use.
