ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Orchard Park Police Department announced an employee tested positive for COVID-19 October 23.
Police say the employee is not a police officer and had minimal contact with the public in the 72 hours before testing positive.
The co-workers the employee may have interacted with have been identified and contact tracing measures have been taken in-line with the guidelines. According to officials, all employees the individual has been contact with have since tested negative.
Police say this is the first known case among OPPD staff and the first positive case in Orchard Park Town Government.
