BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Western New York is stepping-up its testing capacity for COVID-19.
On Wednesday, the Erie County Medical Center Corporation (ECMC) announced that 10 community health center and primary care organizations have been approved to receive $2.3M in Delivery Service Reform Incentive Program (DSRIP) funds. According to details released by the hospital, the money will support testing at 27 sites and three mobile units operating in 17 priority zip codes in Amherst, Buffalo, Dunkirk, Jamestown, Lockport, Niagara Falls, North Tonawanda, Wheatfield and Williamsville.
According to ECMC, these community testing sites are in addition to expanded testing capabilities at ECMC itself, as well as Kaleida Health’s efforts to expand its testing capability for COVID-19.
