BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — More than 100 D'Youville college students are set to graduate early to help reinforce the local healthcare system in this time of crisis.

The college is accelerating programs for students who are in the fields of physician assistant, nursing, and pharmacy.

Right now more than 30 Doctor of Pharmacy students and 81 Bachelor of Nursing students are preparing to enter the workforce early.

D'Youville's President, Dr. Lorrie Clemo said, "These are unprecedented times and we must anticipate the needs.

We pledge to move quickly while adhering to the highest quality experiences for our students."

To further encourage students to step up and serve the community, D'Youville has committed to providing students a $1,000 graduation bonus if they opt to accelerate their education to assist the battle against COVID-19.
