BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Catholic Health systems were finally approved for the to the newly FDA-approved COVID-19 tests created by Cepheid.
The Health System received 960 of the tests last Friday in the afternoon.
The hospital system is a client of the drug manufacturer.
It put in a multi-million dollar order request early weeks ago for 24,000 tests kits that it said would be a month’s worth of supplies to run 800 tests per day
In a virtual news conference held April 6, Catholic Health CEO/President Mark Sullivan said:
"It means finally Catholic Health can anticipate, act, and adjust our game plan to COVID-19."
