BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — Imagine spending 50 years with someone, and then on your 50th wedding anniversary, not being able to hug or kiss them.
Because of COVID-19 that's exactly what happened to one Wyoming County couple.
But, thanks to some help, they did get to spend time with one another.
Judy Brown lives in a nursing home in Warsaw.
Her husband Paul lives at home.
Because of the pandemic there are no visitors allowed at the nursing home..
So the Warsaw Fire Department decided to help.
They lifted Paul on their ladder truck, so through the window, the two could renew their wedding vows.
Their family was on hand to watch from the parking lot
