Convicted drunk driver arrested again after nearly striking Tonawanda Police car

City of Tonawanda Police arrested a 41-year-old for Felony DWI after he reportedly almost hit a patrol car.

Joseph Wecker was backing out of a driveway on Niagara street when he almost struck the police vehicle.

Wecker refused any breath tests at the time of the arrest Wednesday around 1:00 a.m..

Wecker had a revoked status on his drivers license and eight alcohol related suspensions. Wecker also had a DWI conviction in Buffalo in 2015, along with pending impaired charges in Cheektowaga.

Following the most recent incident, Wecker is charged with Felony DWI, Felony Aggravated unlicensed operation, no court ordered interlock device on his vehicle and four vehicle and traffic charges.
