Mayor Byron Brown, community leaders and city-wide neighbors gathered at DeLaine Waring church in Buffalo to spread a message about healing in light of the recent tragic homicides that have taken place this month - 8 homicides, less than a month into the New Year.

Alongside religious leaders, representatives from The National Action Network, Peacemakers and Stop The Violence Coalition took to the podium to spread a joint message to the greater community that, enough is enough and it is time to start the healing process - together.

In addition to providing support to the family members of homicide victims, this community gathering offered others the opportunity to speak openly and share their suggestions in hopes of putting an end to this tragic trend.
