Coca-Cola Field, the home of the Buffalo Bisons, will have a new name in 2019. The naming rights deal with Coca-Cola expires at the end of 2018 and will not be renewed.
The Bisons confirmed the change to 7EWN in a statement on Thursday.
"Beginning in 2019, the Bisons and Coca-Cola are excited to extend our long-term and very important partnership in a meaningful way. While this will no longer include the naming rights for the ballpark following this season, we will be working closely with Coca-Cola to transition to the next phase of our successful partnership".
The downtown ballpark has been named Coca-Cola Field since 2008. The Buffalo News reports that the city will now be putting the name up for bid.
