In association with Camoin Associates the Town of Clarence had a study done that analyzed how to properly develop Main Street.
During the analysis, Camoin developed three main factors that could make a difference in Clarence's redevelopment of Main Street.
- "Town of Clarence residents are a major asset, with high levels of education and skill."
- "Key high-wage industries are growing regionally and will demand the workforce Clarence provides."
- "Sewer capacity is not just limiting development, it is preventing Clarence from realizing its vision for locally guided, community supported, 'smart' growth."
The study also established Main Street "character areas" that would be great for redevelopment.

- Agrarian Clarence
- Central Main St.
- Clarence Hollow
