You can leave the quarters at home this Friday when you’re in the City of Buffalo.

Mayor Byron Brown announced Tuesday that the city will suspend parking meter enforcement on Black Friday to help drive business to stores and restaurants.

Regular parking rates will still apply in public parking garages and private lots. The city will also still enforce parking restrictions in loading zones and disabled-only parking spaces.

The mayor is encouraging everyone to come to the Queen City and shop local on Black Friday as well as the day after, which is known as Small Business Saturday.
