The City of Buffalo now owns the historic Dillon Courthouse. All it took was $1 and a handshake.
The landmark on Court Street, once owned by the federal government, has sat empty for years.
On Tuesday, city officials marked the transfer with a special deed-signing ceremony.
The city plans to turn the old court house into a new public safety complex, combining police and fire headquarters.
Construction on the new complex is set to begin this spring.
