Christmas came a little early for a special audience!
The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra Exceptional Holiday Concerts are developed to enhance the audio-visual experience for special needs students.
About 500 children and adults with developmental disabilities from four organizations --
- Bornhava Early Childhood Center
- Center for Handicapped Children (CHC) Learning Center
- Heritage Centers
- Buffalo Public School #84 (Healthcare Center for Children at ECMC Mission)
-- enjoyed the concert in the Mary Seaton Hall at Kleinhans Music Hall this morning.
During the concert, Santa Claus arrived to greet kids and give them big hugs. Their was even a group of dancers that performed a short rendition of the Nutcracker.
Here's what a few attendees had to say about the concert:
"AMAZING...What a wonderful morning we all spent at Kleinhans with the BPO. You should be so very proud...the morning was perfect in every way."
"I hope the BPO continues this amazing event every year, and I would love to be able to bring even more students to this fantastic performance."
