A Cheektowaga man has been arrested following a child pornography tip according to New York State Police.
Police say 20-year-old Terrill C. McLin was taken into custody Friday and faces the following charges: promoting a sexual performance by a child, sexual misconduct, and endangering the welfare of a child.
In April of 2017 State Police received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children for possible conduct of child pornography.
Police made contact with McLin and reviewed downloaded data and determined there was a possible victim.
On June 21, 2018 a search warrant was executed of other devices to further the investigation, police then determined McLin had sexual contact with a 15-year-old male victim.
He was 19-years-old at the time of the crime.
McLin was arraigned in Cheektowaga Town Court and released on his recognizance.
