On Saturday, May 13th, at approximately 8:20PM emergency services personnel from the Niagara Falls Fire Service, Niagara Emergency Medical Services, and the Niagara Regional Police Service responded to the Hilton Hotel located at 6361 Fallsview Boulevard.
Hilton employees had called to report a chemical spill.
Emergency Service personnel located the spill in the basement of the middle tower. Officials evacuated guests from 160 hotel rooms along with some shops and restaurants.
Two employees were taken to a local hospital to get checked out.
The name of the exact chemical involved is not being released at this time.
Police are not investigating this as a criminal matter.
