A Cheektowaga admitted to stealing $188,000 from an elderly neighbor.
Erie County District Attorney John Flynn says 64-year-old Thomas Marchese had the elderly woman write checks that she believed were going toward her household expenses, but Marchese was actually cashing them for personal use.
Marchese faces up to seven years in prison.
