Chautauqua Deputies: Use caution when ice fishing

Chautauqua County Sheriff's Deputies are cautioning people who plan to go onto the ice of Chautauqua Lake.

Emergency officials say due to warmer weather and unstable ice, there have been reports of ice fisherman falling through the ice. 

No injuries have been reported at this time, according to the sheriff's office. It says the ice is expected to deteriorate even more over the next few days.

Extreme caution and appropriate survival equipment should be used if you plan on venturing onto any frozen lake.
