Charter school parents, students and teachers plan to rally Monday morning for more funding for their schools.
The rally is scheduled to take place at Aloma Charter School.
School supporters are trying to pressure state officials to include the school in next year’s budget.
Among those planning to attend the rally are plaintiffs in a pending lawsuit against the state of New York.
Charter schools are public schools run by private organizations, but opponents say they are suing because schools are still receiving less aid than traditional public schools.
Supporters argue the lack of funding negatively affects charter school students.
