BUFFALO (WKBW) — Funfetti fans get ready for a new way to celebrate. The company behind the colorful cookies, cakes and frosting, is bringing Funfetti Cereal to your breakfast table this summer.
"If you’re going to indulge in a morning breakfast, there is no better way to celebrate then with a bowl of Funfetti cereal." said Dan Anglemyer, Chief Operating Officer of Hometown Food Company.
According to a release from the company the new cereal will be "sprinkled with bright colors " and remain "true to the Funfetti" cake taste.
Hometown Food Company, which owns the rights to Pillsbury's shelf-stable baking products, says a 17oz. family-sized box cereal will retail for $3.50 - $5.50, depending on the retail location.
Funfetti Cereal is expected to hit store shelves in August.
