Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office dispatch center says it is fielding several calls Thursday afternoon due to flooding.

The New York State Department of Transportation, Cattaraugus County Highway Department and local highway supervisors are responding to flooded roadways. Some people are also calling about flooded basements.

The Sheriff's Office asks drivers to be careful on the roads while the water levels are considerably high and say to not drive through flooded sections.

According to the Sheriff's Office, there is one accident on Route 219 in the Town of Ellicottville due to hydroplaning.

To report flooded roads to the Sheriff's Office call 938-9191 or call 911 in an emergency.
