Carl Paladino, a member of the Buffalo School Board, has filed a lawsuit against several members of the Buffalo Public Schools Board of Education and the City of Buffalo Public School District.
According to a press release sent by the attorney's office, the lawsuit claims Paladino's First Amendment Rights have been violated and is seeking a trial by jury.
The lawsuit names specific board members, including Dr. Barbara Seals-Nevergold, Sharon Belton-Cottman, Hope Jay, Dr. Teresa Harris-Tigg, Jennifer Mecozzi and Paulette Woods.
In the lawsuit, Paladino refers to the resolution calling for his removal from the board, which followed controversial comments made in Artvoice in December.
