Several residents in Batavia were rattled out of their beds early Thursday morning after a car crashed into a utility pole and slammed into the side of a house on Oak Orchard Road.
The impact sheared off a porch and ruptured a gas line. Firefighters were able to shut the gas off minutes after the crash.
No one inside the home was hurt.
The driver of the car, 23-year-old Joshua McGuire of Albion, suffered only minor injuries.
He is charged with DWI.
