An elderly woman is in the Intensive Care Unit after she was hit by a car Tuesday night.
Town of Tonawanda Police say the 81-year-old woman was crossing the street at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and Sheridan Drive when the car hit her. She is at ECMC with multiple serious injuries, including a skull fracture.
It happened just before 9:30 p.m.
Officers say the victim is a resident at the Oakwood Senior Living facility at 3456 Delaware Avenue.
Police say the driver was an 83-year-old woman.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. Police have interviewed several witnesses and continue to look for answers.
