Drivers in the Town of Tonawanda received quite the scare on Monday when a car went airborne crossing Sheridan Drive.
An elderly driver was trying to pull into a parking spot at Sheridan Plaza when police say they became confused. That driver stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake and darted across several lanes of traffic on Sheridan Drive.
The car jumped the median of the road and hit several parked cars in the Goodyear Tire parking lot across the street.
Luckily there were no injuries reported. Town of Tonawanda Police say the driver was issued three traffic tickets.
Video of the incident was captured on Town of Tonawanda surveillance cameras.
